Here are some of the common questions people ask about WeightWise.

How fast will I lose weight?
We understand it’s very tempting to ask this question. Everyone is individual and will lose weight differently. We aim for approximately 1kg per fortnight (25kgs per year). Studies show that any faster than this and it is easy to regain. Rather than looking at the speed of weight loss, we encourage you to consider that every kg you lose with WeightWise is lost forever.

Will I be hungry?
By helping you with the optimum balance of foods at a meal – minimum calories for maximum fullness – it is likely you will lose weight with very little hunger.

Will I have to go without certain foods?

WeightWise believes you can eat everything – it’s a matter of knowing how much and how often.

Will my meals be different from what the rest of my family are eating?
Our intention is that you can fit in with family and friends. Your family will also benefit from the nutrition information you gain from WeightWise.

Can I drink alcohol?
Yes you can. We will discuss the impact of alcohol on your weight and your appetite and make suggestions for suitable quantities.

What happens at the end of the six weeks?
Should you require it, we are able to offer you ongoing support. Typically at this stage the frequency of visits would be reduced.

I’ve been on all the diets and I’m still overweight. Why will WeightWise work for me?
We know that diets don’t work. Instead, we will help you make changes that are sustainable and successful.

Why not just cut out the bad stuff from my diet? Wouldn’t that be simpler?
No – it just doesn’t work. Your body needs a certain amount of all types of food and the key is to get the balance right. That approach only creates unwanted eating.

I’m fairly active and I eat healthily but my weight just keeps increasing. Can you help me?
Yes – it’s often a number of small, simple changes designed to fit in with your lifestyle that will see this trend turnaround.

I’m a chocoholic and really crave sweet foods later in the day. Can you help me?
Yes – changing the balance of foods you eat at breakfast and lunch will help you with that.
